Ambareen Hasib Amber

Ambareen Hasib Amber is a prominent poet of Pakistan. A collection of her poems has been published under the title Dil ke Ufuq Per, which was awarded the Perveen Shakir Aks-e-Khushboo Award, 2012. Holding a PhD from Karachi University, she is also a critic and has written several articles which were published in literary magazines and anthologies. She is also the author of Asri Adab ke Rujhanat and Urdu main Tareequi Passand Tanqeed ka Tehqeeqi Mutala and editor of the renowned literary book series Asaleeb. Amber has represented her country at international mushairas in India, the US, and the Gulf and has written several songs for PTV. She has also written Radio Pakistan’s programme Geeton Bhari Kahani for three consecutive years. As a TV and radio anchor, she has hosted several religious and literary programmes.
