Ramazan Baloch

Ramazan Baloch is a writer and a dedicated social activist. He was born in 1944 in a poor neighbourhood of Lyari—Karachi’s oldest settlement. A graduate from the Karachi University, he was instrumental in enhancing girls’ education in the area and was extensively hailed as an impressive advocate of literacy and awareness. His first book, Lyari: The Unfinished Story, was one of the three books nominated for the UBL Literary Award in KLF 2016. His own struggle in life, hard work, and achievements have become a great inspiration for the Lyari youth to follow his message of love, peace, and enlightenment.
