Amin Gulgee
Amin Gulgee is an artist, sculptor, and art curator living and working in Karachi. The son of the famed artist Ismail Gulgee, Amin has carved out a distinctive creative path of his own. He works primarily in sculpture, installation, and performance art. He has held multiple solo exhibitions worldwide, as well as numerous international group shows. Gulgee has curated many group exhibitions at his eponymous non-commercial gallery in Karachi and elsewhere and was Chief Curator of the inaugural Karachi Biennale in 2017. Gulgee’s work is in important international collections and he has received numerous awards, including the President’s Pride of Performance in 2005, one of Pakistan’s highest civilian honours
