Asad Mohammad Khan

A preeminent contemporary short story writer, poet, dramatist, and translator. Asad Mohammad Khan is the author of several books including Jo Kahanian Likheen, Khirki Bhar Asman, Narbada, Ghussay ki Na’i Fasal, Burj Khamoshan, Ik Tukra Dhup Ka, Tisre Pehar ki Kahanian, Tukron Mai Kahi Ga’i Kahani, and The Harvest of Anger and Other Stories, a selection of his short stories in English translation. He has also written scripts for television serials. His command over Bundelkhandi and Malwai dialects is outstanding. In 2007, he received the prestigious Majlis-e-Farogh Urdu Adab Award and the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 2009.
