Haseena Moin
Haseena Moin is a Pakistani dramatist, playwright, and scriptwriter and has written several plays for stage, radio, and television, some of which have gained international repute. She is the recipient of the Pride of Performance award for her services to the performing arts in Pakistan. She wrote Pakistan’s first original television script, Kiran Kahani, aired in the early 1970s, before which there was a reliance on novel-based scripts. Some popular drama serials she wrote include, Ankahi, Tanhaiyaan, Kiran Kahani, Dhoop Kinaray, Aahat, Uncle Urfi, Shahzori, Kohar, Des Pardes, Pal Do Pal, Aansoo, Kasak, Parchhaiyan, and Parosi. She has also written several stand-alone plays based on social issues like the popular Aahat. She wrote the script for the film Yahan Se Wahan Tak, and the dialogues for the film Nazdeekiyan. She was the first Pakistani writer to write dialogues for a Bollywood film, Henna.
