Niilofur Farrukh
Niilofur Farrukh is a Karachi based art interventionist whose work has expanded the space for art publication, curation, and public art in Pakistan. She is the author of A Beautiful Despair—The Art and Life Of Meher Afroz ( Le Topical Pvt Ltd., 2020); Pioneering Perspectives (Feroszons, Pvt. Ltd., 1996); and co-editor Pakistan’s Radioactive Decade: An Informal Cultural History of the 1970s (Oxford University Press, Pakistan, 2019). Her columns in mainstream media include ‘Critical Space’ (Dawn) and ‘Art Speak’ (Newsline). She has been on the Board of the International Art Critics Association (Paris) as Vice President. She is on the Advisory Board of a recently launched online discursive platform ‘Ideas and Futures’. She is currently the Managing Trustee of the Karachi Biennale Trust and the CEO of Karachi Biennale. (www.karachibiennale.org.pk).
