Shehar Bano Rizvi

Shehar Bano Rizvi is the author of the Amazon bestseller ‘Virsa—A Culinary Journey from Agra to Karachi,’ which won the Best in the World Gourmand Award in Paris. A philanthropist at heart, Rizvi used the proceeds from her debut cookbook to create an endowment fund, sponsoring over 170 cataract surgeries annually for the underprivileged in Pakistan. Originally from Karachi and now a mother of three living in Doha with her family, Shehar Bano holds a master’s degree in computer science and a Project Management Professional certification. Before embracing motherhood, she worked as a Project Manager at a leading bank in Qatar. A decade later, she found herself exploring her creative side, writing, and started her blog. Rizvi is a writer and photographer, contributing guest articles to leading newspapers and magazines.
