Yasir Husain

Yasir Husain has worked to bring knowledge about environment, art and new media, to the public, through art and technology projects, community involvement, an engagement with culture, and working in schools. He is an artist and nature campaigner and his working concepts are the social, society, culture, information, media, technology, interactive, connected, history, theory, philosophy, individual and collective space, urban global future.

After co-organizing the climate march 2019, Yasir founded the Green Pakistan Coalition for advocacy, and Darya Lab for doing on-ground projects. The first, Green Pakistan Coalition, is an environmental law network – monitoring the climate emergency in Pakistan, frequently taking erring provincial governments to repent in court!Yasir has engaged the public through art and technology projects, climate activism, teaching ecological science and “stepping into” eco-friendly lifestyles.
